  • Eat Healthy on Campus – NC State takes great care to ensure staff and faculty have many healthy options on campus.
    • Choose Wolf Approved – Items marked as Wolf Approved is a way for NC State Dining to show healthier options on campus. You can find out what is Wolf Approved on menu boards, vending machines, in c-stores and on the University Dining website.
    • My Fitness Pal – University Dining makes it easy for you to track all of your food and beverage intake by utilizing My Fitness Pal. All you have to do is type in ‘NC State’ and then part or all of the name of the item you’re looking for. The app can be downloaded for free on your smartphone or you can access it on your computer by going to the My Fitness Pal website. https://www.myfitnesspal.com/
    • Dietitians Dish – Many of us want to make healthy food choices, but are easily derailed by selections that look appetizing, yet are not nutritionally balanced to eat on a regular basis. The Dietitian’s Dish offers a solution to those who want to eat healthy without sacrificing taste.   • Campus Smiles (Dental) – Campus Smiles offers on campus dental services to Staff and Faculty members at two state-of-the-art offices. Dental offices on Main Campus and Centennial are open Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm, and accept the state’s dental plan, United Concordia. http://www.campus-smiles.com/ncstate

  • Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less (ESMMWL) – ESMMWL is 15-week, interactive online weight management program that uses strategies proven to work for weight loss and maintenance. Each lesson informs, empowers and motivates participants to live mindfully as they make choices about eating and physical activity. Weekly classes are available online. https://esmmweighless.com/
  • Disease Management – Members of the state health plan have access to free help managing chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, depression as well as other serious conditions such as cancer, kidney disease, and severe injuries.   • Rex Healthcare Mammogram Bus– Several times each year, NC State partners with the Rex Mobile Mammography Clinic to provide on-site mammograms to the NC State Community.   • Tobacco Cessation – Quitline NC offers support by phone and FREE nicotine replacement therapy when you talk to a Quit Coach and enroll in the multi-call program. Quitline is available for all staff & faculty 24/7. http://www.quitlinenc.com/
