Annual Leave SHRA and EHRA accrue hours at different rates.  Hours are pro-rated if work week is less than 40 hours per week (full-time) and prorated based on appointment length.  For new hires, leave accrual is based on the permanent hire/appointment date.  If hire date is the 1st-15th of the month, the employee will earn leave in the month of hire.  If hire date is the 16th-31st of the month, they will earn leave beginning the following month of hire.
